Happy New Year!

Two 2.5 year olds.....who has time for anything!

As Lance & Layla are getting bigger seems like our time is busier and busier.  With a trip to Disney in November right into the holiday season.  With flu and colds first two weeks of the New Year!  We are now booked with library classes on Thursday mornings and swim class on Saturdays.  We just got back from a great trip to Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City.  Boy did they love those slides!  New updates on L&L....  They received "big kid" beds for christmas from grandma & grandpa and they love it!  They now both count to 9 in Spanish thanks to Dora =-)  They both count backward from 5,4, 3, 2, 1....Happy New Year!  Both are chatter boxes.  Layla enjoys Dora & Deigo on a regular basis while Lance loves to play games..mostly on mommys phone and color.  Layla tells us that we are "something special" and is quite the love bug.  Lance is quite independant but only wants mommy to tuck his blanket around him at night!  They both know their prayers and we say them as a family at night, what a special time.  Layla is totally day time potty trained while Lance is a bit stubborn about it.....go figure, he is a male!  Here are a few pictures to get up to date:

Good bye summer....hello fall!

Wow....that summer flew by!!  We were able to enjoy this summer a little more then last because the weather was so wonderful.  Lots of swimming and outside time.  We also decided to buy a new home and Lance & Layla love saying "new house" and "bye old house".  So much more room and space for them to explore and play.  L&L are my little people now and chat quite a bit.  Cute saying are "One More Time"  with holding up one finger.  "Im a big girl/boy".  Layla will tell anyone that she loves them if you just say "look at me" to her but she will also just out of the blue say "mommy, I love you".  I melts my heart every time.  They have found Dora and Diego and love to watch it daily.  It is my newest tactic to get them to listen. =-)  They know what they want and can tell me which is great.  I love communicating with them and having our conversations.  We just recently had movie night in our new basement and they had popcorn for the first time.  Layla sat for the entire 3 hours snuggled up and eating her popcorn.  Lance kept busy.  Now that fall is here we have already hit the cider mill and look forward to a fun Halloween season.  They love their new pumpkins and Lance loves donuts dipped in the cider.

Happy 2nd Birthday!

Two years have flown by.  I can't believe how much my little preemies have grown.  They make me so proud in every way.  Life is such a miracle and I am blessed to be mother to these little angels.

Here are some fun thing about each of them:

Lance - 27lbs 6oz  34 inches tall

He has become our curious child.  Always try to figure things out and get into everything (such as the fridge, door wall and cabinets).  He loves to color, do puzzles, any type of vehicle such as tractors and dump trucks.  Says a ton of words (I've lost track of the count). Putting words together such as "pants on" "daddy help me".  He can repeat everything so its time to be careful =-)  He LOVES to play outside and wakes up asking to go everyday.  He loves to eat sweets, strawberry shakes are one of his favorites.

Layla - 21lbs 32 inches tall

She is definately become our little princess.  She loves to dance and sing songs.  She is a good girl and listens MOST of the time.  She is into her princesses and loves to listen to her princess song on the internet.  She has a new baby she named Donna.  We listen to La bamba and she dances like crazy to it.  Layla can identify all of her colors and count up to 10.  She talks alot and puts words to together like "shoes downstairs" "brush hair".  She also can repeat everything.  The other day she was calling the fish in her book Salmon?  How do kids remember things like that??  =0)

They BOTH love to SNAP IT.  It is constant.  Every time they get into their booster seats they have to snap it and they get into their swings outside ans snap themselves in but always need "help" to get out (but snap it up again!!)

They are so much fun and keep each other entertained most of the time.  They do have their moments where they want the same toy but they do love each other!  Can't get enough of their smootchs and hugs!  XOXOXO

Spring has Sprung!

We have been keeping busy these last few weeks and enjoying every nice day by being outside.  Lance and Layla know how to say outside very well!  Their new thing is to "snap it" on everything.  They love to get in and out of their swings and draw with chalk.  They completed their swim class and had a blast the last "family fun" day!

We had our cousin Sammys first birthday party and our first outdoor playdate at our house.  Lots of fun with different kids.  L&L play nice and shared their toys with everyone, I was very proud of them.

Layla now knows all of her colors and can count to ten (when she feels like it, never when asked ofcourse).  Lance figured out how to open the fridge and unlock and open the doorwall and screen,  A whole new level of child proofing has begun!  Climbing is a new thing these past two weeks.  All the sudden we will look and they are sitting on the regular chairs in the kitchen.

We are looking forward to the warmer months to come and going to enjoy swimming.  The big birthday party is coming soon and we hope to have great weather to celebrate.
